Fake Marine Caught Lying On Camera - Phony Marine Craig Pusley

06:40
Yesterday Modesto News .org brought you a story of a Marine Corp Reservist standing guard in front of Hughson Elementary School in Hughson, California. The man standing guard was in an United States Marine Corps Uniform and called himself Sergeant. His story of serving 3 tours in battle, being injured in battle, and being currently enlisted as a Reserve how now been proven to be false. He is now claiming that it is the media that got the story wrong and that he never actually made those claims. In this video Modesto News .org shows his lies on film so that you can decide. Here is an article by the Marine Corps Times today on this story: A Marine veteran who made national news for standing guard outside a California school in uniform was accused Thursday of faking his military service, but denied he did so. Craig Pusley appeared outside Hughson Elementary School in Modesto, Calif., on Wednesday in a desert camouflage uniform to help children feel safe following the massacre of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., he said. He added that he was inspired in part by another Marine veteran, Staff Sgt. Jordan Pritchard, who made headlines for similar actions at Gower Elementary School in Nashville, Tenn. Media coverage of Pusley's actions reported that he is 28 years old and got out of the Corps as a sergeant after deploying twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. In reality, Pusley graduated from boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, but was in the service less than a year and never made it past private first class, Marine officials said. He never deployed or made it through military occupational specialty school, leaving the Corps designated a "basic Marine," MOS 8000. Pusley told Marine Corps Times in a phone interview he never lied about his military service, blaming the first reporter who interviewed him, Nan Austin of The Modesto Bee, for getting the story wrong. "There's a lot of fabrication to this story that didn't come out of my mouth," Pusley said. "All I know is that I talked to a Modesto Bee lady, and everything went crazy." Photographs show him wearing the rank insignia of a sergeant, however. Asked about that, he said he didn't realize what was on the uniform and borrowed it from someone else. He added his old name tapes to the borrowed blouse, he said. "I feel horrible about this," he said. "My intention was for the kids. I don't understand why everyone has to find a negative in every situation." Pusley didn't have an explanation why Austin would have reported that he went to Iraq and Afghanistan, or why it was repeated in subsequent news coverage. However, he said he is "deeply sorry" if standing in front of the school in uniform if it offended anyone, and has written an email to the White House apologizing. He wasn't anticipating a blast of negativity after appearing at the school, he said. "I cannot emphasize enough how sorry I am that all of this has happened," he said. "These were not my intentions. This was never supposed to happen." Austin could not immediately be reached for comment, but The Modesto Bee's editor, Joe Kieta, said the newspaper stands by her work. On Thursday, Pusley appeared in front of the school in Modesto again, this time out of uniform, after it was reported that Marine officials told Pritchard he was not authorized to wear the uniform in front of the school. Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Mike Barrett, the top enlisted Marine, released a statement that he understands Marines' desires to protect children, but Marines should not be wearing the uniform outside of rules and regulations. Mike Malloy on California high school censoring student newspaper

03:07
February 8, 2013, hour 2, segment 2 AP reports (http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/calif-principal-seizes-student-newspaper-18433775): Student journalists at a Central Valley high school are getting a lesson in the First Amendment after administrators confiscated their newspaper over concerns about a campus safety article quoting school administrators as saying that recent lockdown drills and two reports of weapons on campus revealed poor communication. The principal of Stockton's Bear Creek High School, Shirley McNichols, stopped distribution of 1,700 copies of the monthly Bruin Voice newspaper last week, saying a front-page article about allegedly outdated safety policies could panic students. Editor-in-Chief Justine Chang and adviser Kathi Duffel told The Record of Stockton ( http://bit.ly/11sR6P1 ) that the principal was embarrassed about what the article exposed. "I think (administrators) were embarrassed by how they are portrayed in the article," said Chang.

Student wears KKK hood to school for history project in California - 247 news

03:10
Student wears KKK hood to school for history project in California - 247 news Student, dresses,Ku,Klux,Klan, hood,California, school, history, project A student wore a Ku Klux Klan uniform to his school in California as part of a history project for which he received a teacher's permission.Photos posted on social media showed the freshman student dressed head to toe in KKK regalia walking around Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy in Los Angeles on Friday. He was dressed as Hiram Wesley Evans, a dentist who became the Imperial Wizard of the national organization from 1922 to 1939, and who once oversaw a mob who branded 'KKK' onto a black man's forehead with acid. Although other students dressed as historical figures, many felt the decision to appear as a violent white supremacist was out of line.  Share this article Share 'He wore it like throughout the school, like in nutrition, lunch, things like that. I don't think that's appropriate,' Lance Dantignac, a rising senior, told ABC 7. Another rising senior, Trinity Young, said she confronted the teacher who gave the student permission to come to school in the hood.'It kind of rattled me,' she said. 'It was hard to believe that she would allow a klansman to walk around from her approval. 'So, we asked her, and she said that, she compared the Klan to the Black Panther Party, which in my opinion are two different things. So yeah, it was troubling.'The Los Angeles Unified School District said it was investigating the incident. It added: 'L.A. Unified and Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy understand the extreme sensitivity around this issue and do not condone or support this type of re-enactment.'Who was KKK Imperial Wizard Hiram Wesley Evans? Hiram Wesley Evans was born in Alabama on September 26, 1881, and moved to Texas to study dentistry at Vanderbilt University. He set up a dental practice in 1910 and joined the clan ten years later. In 1921, while leader of the Dallas Klan, he led a mob who kidnapped a black bellhop called Alex Johnson, and burnt 'KKK' on his forehead with acid. A year later he rose to the position of Imperial Wizard - leader of the national Klan - and oversaw a massive increase in membership to four million in 1925. He began to oppose vigilante actions in favor of trying to gain political influence and elect local and national officials. By the 1930s, the Klan was in crisis due to a rapidly declining membership and the Great Depression, which squeezed its finances. He resigned as Imperial Wizard on June 10, 1939. He continued commenting on Klan activities until his death in Atlanta on September 14, 1966.Source: Spartacus

Sexual Education in US High Schools - A Student Perspective

00:31
http://www.readyforloveradio.com/sexed/ Students of many ages get sexual education classes - also known as Sex Ed. On this Ready for Love Radio, I'll interview a good friend, who is also the son of a good friend. My guest is almost 16 and has attended two Virginia high schools in the past year. He will share his experiences with us and also some thoughts and opinions about his experiences. I based the interview on a list of questions and an overview I found on a parent's website. I'll include them below for your perusal. Airing Thursday April 26th, 2018 at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET Listen on http://www.newvisionsradio.com Or listen on TuneIn or Nobex apps on mobile If you miss the show, the archive will be posted below. These are some things we discuss - Sexuality education curricula and programs should be reviewed carefully for the following important components: Acknowledging that sexuality is a component of each person's personality, character, and life Containing age appropriate information, based on physical, emotional, and social developmental stages Containing information that is honest, medically accurate, and based upon verifiable scientific and behavioral theories Respecting of differences in family, religious, and social values Being nonjudgmental and open to all questions and concerns related to sexuality Reflecting cultural, social, and ethnic diversity Encouraging children/youth to discuss sexuality issues with their parents and to ask them questions Providing parental review of all materials used in the classroom Avoiding shame, fear, or guilt Promoting gender equality Including skills for decision making and resisting pressure Acknowledging that sexuality and sexual decisions are influenced by family, media, peers, religion, and personal experiences Acknowledging both responsibility and pleasure in intimate sexual relationships Giving young people opportunities to role play and to practice effective communication Acknowledging the diversity of sexual orientation Acknowledging that sexual abuse, coercion, and incest occur and offering referrals for counseling and support for survivors Promoting responsibility, respect, and honesty in relationships Containing materials evaluated by respected researchers and published in credible sources Offering reference lists from scientific, professional, peer-reviewed sources rather than personal opinions, newspaper articles, sermons, speeches, or magazine articles. Finally, the chosen curriculum should be taught by knowledgeable, comfortable, and well trained sexuality educators. http://www.advocatesforyouth.org/component/content/article/158-parents Report that I mentioned - Listeners can download a copy of the God and Sex survey here – https://www.academia.edu/19658850/Sex_and_SecularismShayne2?auto=download  http://www.readyforloveradio.com/sexed/ https://youtu.be/dqszd6k-X-w

Wide of the Rosenfeld family posing for photos with children 17. Close-up of Rachel and her family with the schoolchildren STORYLINE: Hundreds of Cambodian villagers welcomed the arrival of a new primary school on Wednesday, a gift from an American teenager who was ill for a year decided to use her time away from school to help raise 52-thousand US Dollars to open a school in Cambodia. Rachel Rosenfeld, 17, made her first visit to the Southeast Asian country for the opening of the R.S. Rosenfeld School, which brings computers and Internet access to 300 primary school students in a small village of Siem Reap province, a poverty stricken area that is home to the country's famed Angkor Wat temple complex. Rosenfeld, of Harrison, New York, said she learned about the village of Srah Khvav after reading a newspaper article last year that discussed the plight of poor Cambodian children who often have no access to education. The teenager said that she was horrified to learn that some young Cambodian girls end up being sold into prostitution by their parents. She set out to raise money after spending most of last year battling a stomach illness, which required months of medical treatment and forced her to miss a year of school. As part of her fundraising campaign, Rosenfeld sent out hundreds of fundraising letters, sold T-shirts and offered naming rights for several structures in the school, a statement said. The 52-thousand dollars she raised was supplemented by funds from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. "I feel amazing now that its all done, seeing all the kids just makes me feel so good, and I feel like I really did something to help people and it means a lot to me", Rosenfeld told AP Television. Children in white shirts and navy blue trousers, the Cambodian school uniform, lined Rosenfeld's way as she arrived at the school. One of the students, Heng Thy, at the school said, "I feel very excited because I have a new school to study and make me eager to continue my education." Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson

11:07
Articles - a, an & the - English Grammar lesson Take the quiz - http://www.learnex.in/articles-a-an-the/ The 3 articles in English are a, an and the. The learner has to decide noun-by-noun which one of the articles to use. In fact, there are 4 choices to make, because sometimes no article is necessary. Native-speakers, of course, use the articles correctly without thinking. English learners, on the other hand, need to have some guidelines for making the right choice - particularly those learners whose own language does not have articles. The guidelines that follow in this lesson should help ESL students to a basic understanding of English article use. The words a, an and the are known as articles. • We use an before words that begin with vowels (a,e,i,o,u). E.g. I found an orange boat. However there are few exceptions like the words honest and hour. In the words honest and hour the alphabet h is silent and therefore the letter o becomes the first alphabet of the word and hence we use the article an. E.g. Mr. Smith is an honest man. I will be with you in an hour. We use a before words that begin with consonants (all the letters of the alphabet except the vowels). E.g. Bumble is a baby elephant. • We use the before words that we have already spoken about. E.g. I bought an apple. The apple is very sweet.

News article on the Southern Star Newspaper is as shown: Students revolt over school junkfood ban STUDENTS have staged a protest against the Queensland Governments crackdown on the sale of junk food in school tuckshops. MacGregor State High School student Chris Kang, 17, said he and 11 other seniors challenged the tuckshop menu changes by eating 60 McDonalds burgers on Thursday, April 26. "Our efforts were recognised by McDonalds at Sunnybank where our picture was posted on to the notice board, he said. They also put the protest on the YouTube website. From January 1, state schools were forced to introduce healthy school menus, including food and drinks low in fat, sugar and energy. Mr Kang said students felt the scheme was "contradictory" to solving the problem of childhood obesity. "Most students just pack the same fatty foods from home or even refuse to eat, which may be even more unhealthy," he said. Students are protesting by leaving the school to buy lunch at fast food chains. Sunnybank McDonalds manager Joel Carter confirmed the students were placed on the notice board. "I dont think fast food is a bad thing, I just think moderation has to be taught, he said. "The majority of high school students that come here are coming before school for breakfast. "This may come back to the parents do they provide sufficient breakfasts for their children?" School P&C business administrator Joanna English said tuckshop profits were down because lollies and drinks were big earners. Mrs English said workers had also had increased wages due to the preparation time needed for fresh, healthy food options. "Profits from the canteen and uniform shop are the P&Cs two main sources of funds," she said. "Were only into the second term (with the new healthy menu guidelines) so it is too early to say how were really going." An Education Queensland spokeswoman said there would be a review of the move this year, with results released later this year. I would post the Courier Mail version but too lazy :P Enjoy!

Welcome to Loft Gallery

01:38
THE LOFT GALLERY was founded by Marcia Weidler and Jackie Paetzold in 1986, and is comprised of 20 professional artists. Artists are selected according to the quality of their work, educational backgrounds and experience with their particular media. Their shared dedication in organizing a co-op, which could present their work in the professional setting it deserved, led to the opening of the gallery with a handful of local artists. Special awards and recognition in their respective fields are also considered. A variety of media is represented, including watercolors, oils, woodcuts, pastels, acrylics, photography, original prints, collagraphs, lithographs, stained glass and pottery. Styles follow traditional lines from detailed representational work to soft impressionism. Each of the artists has brought a personal clientele to the gallery, which has its own carefully established reputation and patronage. Press releases and publicity are sent on a regular basis and open houses are held monthly. The LOFT GALLERY has been featured in news articles in The Potomac News, The Alexandrian Magazine, The Alexandria and Mount Vernon Gazette, The Marketplace Newspaper, The Old Bridge Observer, and The Lakeridge Lantern. Ambedkar's advice for 2019 Elections! (speaking on Directive Principles)

01:17
We all may have heard of Directive Principles of State Policy from our school days or some newspaper articles. Some of us may also know that it has some important provisions related livelihood, decent standard of living, safeguarding of forests etc. But how can these be achieved if we cant go to courts for these? Ambedkar answers this in his address to the Constituent Assembly. He says that the people can vote for the right party that follows the Directive Principles in forming state policy. People can vote out those who dont achieve these. So even if these are not enforceable in courts, they can be enforced through people's voice in the elections... On this Ambedkar Jayanti, let's listen to his words, and then vote carefully in the upcoming 2019 elections... Directive Principles are in Articles 36 to 51 of the Indian Constitution. The State shall secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice, on a basis of equal opportunity, and shall, in particular, provide free legal aid, by suitable legislation or schemes or in any other way, to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities. 40. 'Enough is enough': the fight against everyday sexism

00:31
And the more these incidents came back to me, the more I wondered why I'd played them down at the time -- why I'd never complained. The answer was that these events hadn't seemed exceptional enough for me to object to. Because this kind of thing was just part of life -- or, rather, part of being a woman. And I started to wonder how many other women had had similar experiences. So I started asking around. To my surprise, every woman I spoke to had a story. And they weren't random one-off events, but reams of tiny pinpricks -- like my own experiences -- so niggling and normalised that to protest about each one felt trivial. Yet put them together, and the picture was strikingly clear. This inequality, this pattern of casual intrusion whereby women could be leered at, touched, harassed and abused, was sexism. And if sexism means treating people differently or discriminating against them purely because of their sex, then women were experiencing it on a near-daily basis. The more stories I heard, the more I tried to talk about the problem. And yet time and again I found myself coming up against the same response: "Sexism doesn't exist any more," people told me. "You're uptight, or frigid... you really need to learn to take a compliment." People didn't want to acknowledge it, or talk about it. And it wasn't just men who took this view; it was women, too, telling me I was being oversensitive, or simply looking for problems where there weren't any. At first, I wondered if they were right. I thought I'd take a look at the statistics. I found that in this supposedly "equal" society, with nothing left for women to want or fight for, they hold less than a quarter of seats in parliament, and only four out of 22 Cabinet positions. That just seven out of 38 Lord Justices of Appeal and 18 out of 108 High Court judges are female. That in 2010 it was reported that the National Gallery's collection of some 2,300 works contained paintings by only 10 women. That our Royal Society has never had a female president and just 5% of the current fellowship is made up of women. That women write only a fifth of front-page newspaper articles. That women directed just 5% of the 250 major films of 2011, down by nearly half from a paltry 9% in 1998. I found that on average more than two women are killed every week by a current or former partner, that there is a call to the police every minute about domestic violence, and that a woman is raped every six minutes -- adding up to more than 85,000 rapes and 400,000 sexual assaults per year. I didn't for a moment think that the problem of sexism could be solved overnight. But nor did I see how we could even begin to tackle it while so many people continued to refuse to acknowledge that it existed. So, in April 2012, I started a simple website, everydaysexism.com, where women could upload their stories. Without any funding, or means to publicise the project beyond my own Facebook wall, I thought perhaps 50 or 60 women would add their stories. Stories began to trickle in during the first few days. Within a week, hundreds of women had added their voices. I started a Twitter account, @EverydaySexism, and found that people were keen to discuss the phenomenon there, too. Stories began to appear from America and Canada, Germany and France, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Tens of thousands of people started viewing the website each month. Within 18 months we had expanded to 18 countries. In December 2013 -- 20 months after the project was launched -- we had 50,000 entries. I have been asked what has shocked me the most since starting the project. I think people expect me to say that it's the stories of rape or violence. Those stories angered and devastated me, of course, but nothing has shocked me more than the thousands of entries from girls under the age of 18. One day, in the early months of the project, I read two or three entries in a week from girls who had been subjected to leering and shouting from men in the street while walking home from school in their uniform. Dismayed, I posted a question on Twitter: surely this couldn't be a common occurrence? By the end of the day, a deluge of tweets had confirmed that the experience was not only common, but almost ubiquitous. One post read: "I have had men say things like 'Hello darling' and 'Sexy lady' while walking home from school in my uniform." The obsessive focus on girls' looks is particularly poisonous. One girl noted her bemusement at having her legs commented on, aged just 10: "I'd never thought much about my legs before, they were just something I walked on." As girls hit the age of 10 or 11, this obsession with their appearance takes a distinctly sexualised turn. Suddenly they are defined not only by their looks, but also, more specifically, by what boys and men think of them. JANET STREET-PORTER: Rees-Mogg's nanny-botherer is a piece of work

JANET STREET-PORTER: Rees-Mogg's nanny-botherer is a piece of work: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6161701/JANET-STREET-PORTER-Rees-Moggs-nanny-botherer-nasty-piece-work.html. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqi7z1Xa_8CBhQStlApH8ww?sub_confirmation=1 One week and two very public meltdowns - but which one is the most offensive?Ian Bone, a 71 year-old professional protester, took class war to a new low this week, shouting abuse at Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg's children and an elderly woman who's worked for his family for 51 years.Attempting to draw attention to the plight of domestic servants who live in tied accommodation and are paid below the minimum wage, Mr Bone ranted 'poor Nanny Crook who looks after you and wipes your bottom doesn't get enough money but Daddy doesn't care'. To be honest the kids (immaculately turned out in posh school uniforms) and Nanny Crook in her sensible shoes seemed totally bemused by the motley crew protesting six feet from their doorstep.Nanny Crook told Mr Bone she was 'very happy' and her boss was 'wonderful'.Mr Bone was roundly condemned on all sides, from the Prime Minister to the Archbishop of Canterbury and parliamentarians of all persuasions. One MP reckoned that the kids would be 'marked forever'.The Home Secretary said it was 'absolutely disgraceful'. Mr Rees-Mogg took a rather different line, telling journalists 'I wouldn't get too excited about it…it wasn't terribly well organised, or terribly serious….we are a free country, they weren't violent…not everybody is going to like me'.Game, set and match to Rees Mogg and Nanny Crook.Contrast Mr Bone's raging in a London street with events at the US Open Women's final last weekend. The most successful female sportswoman of all time had a huge tantrum in front of a sold-out stadium, smashing her racquet, calling the umpire a liar and a thief - all of which cost her valuable penalty points and the loss of a game. In the ensuing furore, we seemed to forget that another woman - Japan's Naomi Osaka - won her first Grand Slam title - although she spent most of the awards ceremony head down, in tears.Serena's meltdown was justified by tennis legend Billie Jean King and former US Open runner up Victoria Azarenka, who agreed that the umpire was sexist and would not have treated a male player in the same way.Billie Jean tweeted 'when a woman is emotional, she's 'hysterical' and she's penalised for it. When a man does the same, he's outspoken & there are no repercussions. Thank you @serenawilliams for calling out this double standard.'Williams herself tweeted to say she was just expressing strong emotions, and that her rage might enable other women to feel free to do that. One columnist has suggested that Serena's meltdown was partly because her child is almost a year old, and that's affected her brain, making her slightly bonkers, and pulled in two directions.I disagree - Serena was out to win her 24th Grand Slam title, to make history, and she went off the rails when her master plan was derailed (Osaka won the first set) because she couldn't control her emotions.By saying she was a feminist, telling the umpire 'I'm here fighting for women's rights and for women's equality…and for my daughter', she was not empowering ot #JANETSTREETPORTERReesMogg, #nanny, #botherer, #piece, #work #JANET, #STREET, #PORTER, #Rees, #Moggs, #nanny, #botherer, #nasty, #piece, #work

Our Miss Brooks: House Trailer / Friendship / French Sadie Hawkins Day

01:34:37
Our Miss Brooks is an American situation comedy starring Eve Arden as a sardonic high school English teacher. It began as a radio show broadcast from 1948 to 1957. When the show was adapted to television (1952--56), it became one of the medium's earliest hits. In 1956, the sitcom was adapted for big screen in the film of the same name. Connie (Constance) Brooks (Eve Arden), an English teacher at fictional Madison High School. Osgood Conklin (Gale Gordon), blustery, gruff, crooked and unsympathetic Madison High principal, a near-constant pain to his faculty and students. (Conklin was played by Joseph Forte in the show's first episode; Gordon succeeded him for the rest of the series' run.) Occasionally Conklin would rig competitions at the school--such as that for prom queen--so that his daughter Harriet would win. Walter Denton (Richard Crenna, billed at the time as Dick Crenna), a Madison High student, well-intentioned and clumsy, with a nasally high, cracking voice, often driving Miss Brooks (his self-professed favorite teacher) to school in a broken-down jalopy. Miss Brooks' references to her own usually-in-the-shop car became one of the show's running gags. Philip Boynton (Jeff Chandler on radio, billed sometimes under his birth name Ira Grossel); Robert Rockwell on both radio and television), Madison High biology teacher, the shy and often clueless object of Miss Brooks' affections. Margaret Davis (Jane Morgan), Miss Brooks' absentminded landlady, whose two trademarks are a cat named Minerva, and a penchant for whipping up exotic and often inedible breakfasts. Harriet Conklin (Gloria McMillan), Madison High student and daughter of principal Conklin. A sometime love interest for Walter Denton, Harriet was honest and guileless with none of her father's malevolence and dishonesty. Stretch (Fabian) Snodgrass (Leonard Smith), dull-witted Madison High athletic star and Walter's best friend. Daisy Enright (Mary Jane Croft), Madison High English teacher, and a scheming professional and romantic rival to Miss Brooks. Jacques Monet (Gerald Mohr), a French teacher. Our Miss Brooks was a hit on radio from the outset; within eight months of its launch as a regular series, the show landed several honors, including four for Eve Arden, who won polls in four individual publications of the time. Arden had actually been the third choice to play the title role. Harry Ackerman, West Coast director of programming, wanted Shirley Booth for the part, but as he told historian Gerald Nachman many years later, he realized Booth was too focused on the underpaid downside of public school teaching at the time to have fun with the role. Lucille Ball was believed to have been the next choice, but she was already committed to My Favorite Husband and didn't audition. Chairman Bill Paley, who was friendly with Arden, persuaded her to audition for the part. With a slightly rewritten audition script--Osgood Conklin, for example, was originally written as a school board president but was now written as the incoming new Madison principal--Arden agreed to give the newly-revamped show a try. Produced by Larry Berns and written by director Al Lewis, Our Miss Brooks premiered on July 19, 1948. According to radio critic John Crosby, her lines were very "feline" in dialogue scenes with principal Conklin and would-be boyfriend Boynton, with sharp, witty comebacks. The interplay between the cast--blustery Conklin, nebbishy Denton, accommodating Harriet, absentminded Mrs. Davis, clueless Boynton, scheming Miss Enright--also received positive reviews. Arden won a radio listeners' poll by Radio Mirror magazine as the top ranking comedienne of 1948-49, receiving her award at the end of an Our Miss Brooks broadcast that March. "I'm certainly going to try in the coming months to merit the honor you've bestowed upon me, because I understand that if I win this two years in a row, I get to keep Mr. Boynton," she joked. But she was also a hit with the critics; a winter 1949 poll of newspaper and magazine radio editors taken by Motion Picture Daily named her the year's best radio comedienne. For its entire radio life, the show was sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive-Peet, promoting Palmolive soap, Lustre Creme shampoo and Toni hair care products. The radio series continued until 1957, a year after its television life ended. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Miss_Brooks

The Untold Story of Hitler's Jewish Soldiers and Racial Laws (2003)

01:18:38
Goldberg's father grew up in Königsberg as a member of the Jewish community but he had himself baptized in the local Lutheran church as he wished to become assimilated and marry a Christian. About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0700613587/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0700613587&linkCode=as2&tag=tra0c7-20&linkId=072161face8040769fb91f7852e72601 After Hitler became Chancellor of Germany in 1933, Mr. Goldberg lost his position under the Nazi law of April 1933, Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service, which expelled Jews from the German Civil Service. Goldberg left school in 1935 and became an apprentice at Schneller und Schmeider, a clothing company jointly owned by a Jew and a non-Jew, where many of his colleagues were Jews or mischlinge. Goldberg's maternal uncle joined the Nazi party and refused to be seen with the Goldberg family, even avoiding Goldberg's mother. At the beginning of 1938 Goldberg served a six-month term in the Reich Labour Service whose uniform, as Goldberg later recalled, "had a swastika on an armband". On December 1, 1938 Goldberg joined the German Army. He took part in the invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, serving alongside childhood friend Karl Wolf, whose father was now a high-ranking SS officer. Shortly after the beginning of the War, Goldberg's photograph appeared in the Sunday edition of the Berliner Tagesblatt newspaper with the caption "The Ideal German Soldier"; the photograph had been sold to the newspaper by the official army photographer. It was later used on recruitment posters. In 1940 following the Armistice with France, Goldberg was expelled from the army under Hitler's order of April 8, 1940 which stated that all 1st degree Mischlinge were to be expelled from the military. He returned to his former workplace which had now changed its name to the Feodor Schmeider Company, having been obliged to remove the Jewish name Schneller. Goldberg played an increasingly more responsible role within the company, obtaining contracts for uniforms from the army and the navy. He also attended the Reich Board of Labour Studies School (Reichsausschuss für Arbeitsstudie) where he was one of 4 out of 80 students who passed the test to become a REFA teacher. He then became a Labour Studies Board lecturer on the clothing business, and delivered lectures to organizations and company directors, even publishing an article in the weekly trade publication Textilwoche. In December 1942, Goldberg's father was admitted to the Bavaria Hospital. The Gestapo however raided the hospital and sent him to a Jewish hospital which had been requisitioned by the Gestapo for use as prison, from which Jews were taken and sent to Auschwitz. On Christmas Eve, gambling that the guards would be drunk or absent, Goldberg took his father from the hospital. Mr. Goldberg was soon back in the hands of the Gestapo and in April 1943 was summoned for deportation, but Goldberg told him not to show up and he was again saved. He became the only member of Goldberg's family to survive the war. Goldberg died in Berlin on September 28, 2004; he was survived by his wife Gertrud Goldberg, and three children. Goldberg's story formed part of the 2006 documentary Hitler's Jewish Soldiers, a 58-minute film produced by Larry Price in association with the Israel Broadcasting Authority. Price was inspired by the 2002 book Hitler's Jewish Soldiers by Bryan Mark Rigg. Goldberg featured in an episode of the Yesterday TV series Nazi Collaborators,[7] first screened in the UK in December 2010. In 2015 the photograph was used for the monument to "Protectors of Motherland" in Tobolsk, Russia as surrogate for an image of a Red Army soldier, reportedly by mistake. The image on the monument was promptly fixed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werner_Goldberg
