4K UHD Mitsubishi at 2019 Canadian International Auto Show Toronto

4K UHD Mitsubishi at 2019 Canadian International Auto Show Toronto The Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) is Canada's largest auto show. This event has been held in Toronto, Ontario since 1974 and is staged annually in February at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It draws an average of 300,000 visitors throughout its showing from Ontario and Western New York. The Canadian International AutoShow in partnership with AutoTrader exhibits over 1,000 cars, trucks, and SUVs as well as, concept cars, exotics, classics, motorcycles and alternative energy vehicles. AutoTrader is the presenting Title Sponsor and Show Program Publisher of the Canadian International AutoShow.[1] The AutoShow also rents booths to over 125 exhibitors promoting contests, products, services and even locally owned vehicles. The Mitsubishi Group (三菱グループ Mitsubishi Gurūpu, also known as the Mitsubishi Group of Companies or Mitsubishi Companies, and informally as the Mitsubishi Keiretsu) is a group of autonomous Japanese multinational companies in a variety of industries. It is historically descended from the Mitsubishi zaibatsu, a unified company which existed from 1870, founded by Iwasaki Yatarō, to 1947 and was disbanded during the occupation of Japan following World War II. The former constituents of the company continue to share the Mitsubishi brand and trademark. Although the group companies participate in limited business cooperation, most famously through monthly "Friday Conference" executive meetings, they are formally independent and are not under common control. The four main companies in the group are MUFG Bank (the largest bank in Japan), Mitsubishi Corporation (a general trading company), Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (both being diversified manufacturing companies). The Mitsubishi company was established as a shipping firm by Yatarō Iwasaki (1834–1885) in 1870. In 1873, its name was changed to Mitsubishi Shokai. The name Mitsubishi (三菱) consists of two parts: "mitsu" meaning "three" and "hishi" (which becomes "bishi" under rendaku) meaning "water caltrop" (also called "water chestnut"), and hence "rhombus", which is reflected in the company's logo. It is also translated as "three diamonds".[1] Mitsubishi was established in 1870, two years after the Meiji Restoration, with shipping as its core business. Its diversification was mostly into related fields. It entered into coal-mining to gain the coal needed for ships, bought a shipbuilding yard from the government to repair the ships it used, founded an iron mill to supply iron to the shipbuilding yard, started a marine insurance business to cater for its shipping business, and so forth. Later, the managerial resources and technological capabilities acquired through the operation of shipbuilding were utilized to expand the business further into the manufacture of aircraft and equipment. The experience of overseas shipping led the firm to enter into a trading business.[2] In 1881, the company bought into coal mining by acquiring the Takashima Mine, followed by Hashima Island in 1890, using the production to fuel their extensive steamship fleet. They also diversified into shipbuilding, banking, insurance, warehousing, and trade. Later diversification carried the organization into such sectors as paper, steel, glass, electrical equipment, aircraft, oil, and real estate. As Mitsubishi built a broadly based conglomerate, it played a central role in the modernization of Japanese industry.[3] In February 1921, the Mitsubishi Internal Combustion Engine Manufacturing Company in Nagoya invited British Sopwith Camel designer Herbert Smith, along with several other former Sopwith engineers to assist in creating an aircraft manufacturing division. After moving to Japan, they designed the Mitsubishi 1MT, Mitsubishi B1M, Mitsubishi 1MF, and Mitsubishi 2MR. The merchant fleet entered into a period of diversification that would eventually result in the creation of three entities: Mitsubishi Bank (now a part of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) was founded in 1919. After its mergers with the Bank of Tokyo in 1996, and UFJ Holdings in 2004, this became Japan's largest bank. Mitsubishi Corporation, founded in 1950, Japan's largest general trading company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which includes these industrial companies: Mitsubishi Motors, the sixth-largest Japan-based car manufacturer. Mitsubishi Atomic Industry, a nuclear power company. Mitsubishi Chemical, the largest Japan-based chemicals company Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, a power generation division Nikon Corporation, specializing in optics and imaging. The firm's prime real estate holdings in the Marunouchi district of Tokyo, acquired in 1890, were spun off in 1937 to form Mitsubishi Estate, now one of the largest real estate development companies in Japan.

Nissan and Mitsubishi on "due diligence" process

02:43
(12 May 2016) Nissan will conduct due diligence before finalising a deal to take a 34 percent stake in scandal-ridden Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the company's CEO said on Thursday. Speaking to reporters in Yokohama, Carlos Ghosn said the deal was done quickly because of "trust at the top level", adding that he intends to repeat the success of his Nissan-Renault alliance. Ghosn appeared with Mitsubishi Motors Chairman Osamu Masuko at a hastily called joint conference on Thursday in Yokohama, where Nissan is headquartered. He said Nissan will invest 237 (b) billion yen (2.2 billion US dollars) to become the top investor in Mitsubishi Motors, which has been rocked by a scandal over cheating on mileage tests to inflate mileage for minicar models. Mitsubishi group companies — Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, trading company Mitsubishi Corporation and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ — will continue to hold stakes in the automaker, but they have agreed to support the alliance with Nissan, both sides said. Mitsubishi Enters American 3D Printing Market with a Metal 3D Printer

01:26
Read more: http://3dprintingindustry.com/2014/01/03/mitsubishi-enters-american-3d-printing-market-metal-3d-printer-platform-matsuura-machinery/ Transcript: Mitsubishi Corp, noteworthy for being the largest trading company in Japan, is all set to enter the American 3D printing market this month when it will introduce and sell a metal-forming 3D printer developed by compatriot company Matsuura Machinery. Matsuura produces the hybrid LUMEX Avance-25 system — a single machine platform that combines metal laser sintering with high-speed milling allowing for the production of very precise parts to tight tolerances. With this sort of pitch, Mitsubishi is set to target manufacturers of aircraft, medical equipment and cell phones. In other words, the type of company that demands precision and has the capital (90 million yen or around $900,000) to achieve it. The goal is to deliver the platform to more than 10 firms across North America in the first year.
