Als es dann letzte Woche soweit war kam gleich die Frage nach den Möglichkeiten auf, wie man es mit den Microsoft Online Services (BPOS) produktiv nutzen kann. Als erstes war natürlich die Anbindung an Microsoft Exchange Online notwendig. Wie man das macht, können Sie in dem Video rechts sehen. Da man das iPad momentan nur ab filmen kann, ergänze ich den Beitrag um eine kleine Beschreibung und die wichtigsten Screenshots. Ach übrigens, das Gerät hat meine Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Es ist fantastisch und auch seine Geschwindigkeit ist hervorragend (in dem Video kann man das vielleicht erahnen).

The latest update brings with it “hundreds of new features” including fix to the issue which prevented users from sending emails through their Outlook.com or Exchange mail account via the iOS 11 Mail app. “If your email account is hosted by Microsoft on Outlook.com or Office 365, or an Exchange Server 2016 running on Windows Server 2016, you might see this error message when you try to send an email with iOS 11: “Cannot Send Mail. The message was rejected by the server.” To fix the issue, update to iOS 11.0.1 or later,” Apple’s support page reads. Apple iOS 11.0.1 update is available for iPhone 5 S or later, iPad mini 2 or later and the 6th generation iPod touch or later. Apple should automatically notify users to upgrade to iOS 11.0.1, but the availability of the software update can be checked manually as well. Just open Settings, click on ‘General’, and tap on ‘Software Update’. Users who’re signed-in to Apple’s beta program will have to unroll for iOS 11.0.1 update to show up. Apple iOS 11.0.1 essentially brings bug fixes and improvements for iPhone, iPad. The update is 286.3MB in size. Before downloading and installing the update, Apple recommends users to plug the device into power as well as connect to the Internet of Wi-Fi. Also, it is advisable to backup your device using iTunes or iCloud before installing the latest iOS 11.0.1 update. Apple iOS 11 is one of the biggest release ever for iPad and iPhone. It brings with it support for ARKit that lets developers to create newer and more powerful AR app, an all-new App Store, redesigned Control Center, a new Files app, more use cases for Apple Pencil, and more.

Problem: It's a little tricky to setup an email signature with an image on iPhone or iPad. If you simply copy and paste a signature, the image will work at first but after some time, it will become missing and will just show up as a blank box instead of your image in your html email signature. This video will show you how to quickly setup Hotmail with Exchange ActiveSync on your iPhone so that you can sync all of your email, contacts, and calendar. Instructions: 1. Tap Settings from the main screen, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars. 2. Tap Add Account. 3. Tap Microsoft Exchange to configure Hotmail access. 4. Enter your full Hotmail address in both the Email and Username fields. Leave Domain blank, enter your Password and a Description, tap Next. 5. Enter m.hotmail.com for the Server name and tap Next. 6. Select whether you want to sync your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars and tap Save.

Added an Exchange account to an iPad (iOS 3.2.2). Exchange ActiveSync policy here requires a passcode lock. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug where the prompt to create the passcode is only up for a second. Here I put it to sleep and wake it to force the prompt to come up.
